The Art & Culture agency Lisibeti Music Performing Arts (LMPA) is The Workplace for Performing Arts where we are at your service with information and assistance on all facets of performing arts (music, dance, drama). It is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) where a team of local and international professionals assist you in the experience and development of art and culture in Suriname and beyond. We make a substantial contribution to enriching the Cultural spirit of a society.

Production

With an expert artistic, business and production team organize your activity from A to Z. We are your specialist in organizing live, audio and television concert, music theater production, a home concert, show, festival, school performance, company concert and other productions. You are also welcome for making jingles and singles.

Performing

Are you looking for a vocalist, instrumentalist, actor, band, choir, ensemble, storyteller, presenter or any stage artist for your activity, then we can offer you a suitable person from our database of professional, semi-professional and amateur staff. They can be used for activities such as a conference, workshop, business activity, festive event, funeral or film productions and clips.

Education

We provide educational programs for youth and adults in, among other things, the piano, voice and musical. For the different levels of beginners, continuation and advanced level, there are standards that we take into account. Special programs for people who want to follow a higher music course, but also people who want to take a class on an incidental basis. We provide a children’s program, the Music Kids Club, where children from 4 to 7 years old can attend and acquire various music technical and skills. Playing drums, singing, dancing, playing the piano, recorder and violin are some of the lessons. We provide workshops, training for teachers and groups in various branches of the performing arts, the performing side, dance, drama, music. With us you are also at the right place for employees of companies to strengthen innovation, creativity and sense of art.

Publication

Writing music and making arrangements, compositions for different line-ups is part of our Publication department as well as publishing sheet music for piano, voice, mixed and male choir. Placing handwritten music digitally on music paper and digitally recording audio (making transcripts) is also our specialty.

Consultancy

For questions, information about a certain aspect within the performing arts in Suriname or information about policy issues in the Creative and Cultural sector you are at the right place with us. We design cultural artistic plans for both local and international conferences. Artists can come to us for technical and business assistance for their music career. For example, students, parents, scientists and policy makers also belong to our clients.

Funds

The Instrument and Student Fund, which has been in existence for 15 years, is of great value for young people in particular and has shown its right to exist.
Loyal citizens donate monthly and others make instruments available that are used for educational purposes. For example, pianos, violins, disc trombones, guitars and percussion instruments, sound equipment have been donated to the Fund. People can apply for an instrument or scholarship to be eligible. For example, the Fund has made a substantial contribution to various musical projects in the interior of Suriname.
