Liesbeth Peroti is a Surinamese performer, composer, and cultural leader who brings music, theatre, and education to life. With deep roots in Suriname’s heritage and a passion for the stage, she creates powerful works that inspire, uplift, and connect communities through the performing arts.

Asema – Luk’ Bun
Peroti is also available for acting roles in films and theatre productions where she can combine her musical talents with acting. She brings a unique presence to the stage and screen, blending performance with musical expression. Her most recent film role was in the short film Asema, where she played the eccentric neighbor Edna.

Festival América do Sul
From May 15 to 18, 2025, Corumbá once again hosted one of the most significant cultural events in South America. Moinho Cultural welcomed the talented pianist Liesbeth Peroti to be part of the South America Festival 2025.

Pianobook Majoie Hajary
Majoie Hajary was a Surinamese composer, pianist, and writer whose work blended Eastern and Western musical traditions. Her innovative compositions and global perspective made her a unique voice in 20th-century classical and world music.

Dyakasa! in concert
Pianist, vocalist, theatre maker, and music educator Liesbeth Peroti was invited by the SPICE Foundation to share her knowledge of art and culture developed in the interior of Suriname with Dutch audiences, both with and without Surinamese backgrounds.

Kankantii Talënti Fesa
Kankantii Talënti Fesa 2024 was an event that showcases, appreciates, values, and encourages the talents of young people aged 12 to 18. Four specialists in musical theatre, painting, dance, and film lead joint intensive sessions during the four days leading up to the festival.

Men’s Choir ‘Harmonie’
Twenty men from four generations gave thanks for the blessings of recent years in an inspiring vocal performance. That’s why the theme of the ‘Tap’ Yari concert was ‘Blessings’. The artistic direction was in the hands of Liesbeth Peroti, with assistance from Rolf Jacott and Rafaël van Ommeren.

Nina Simone (A)Live
A tribute to the music and indomitable spirit of the legendary jazz musician Nina Simone. The theatre concert was inspired by her famous comeback performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1976. With a grand piano, two turntables, and a sampler, the seven artists took you back to Montreux.
